The Salvation Army Receives 6 Gold Coins
Donation Brings Excitement to End of 2017 Campaign
GREEN BAY - The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Campaign saw an end-of-year boost when an anonymous donor hand-delivered six gold coins to their Corps Community Center on December 29, 2017.
The American Eagle One Ounce Gold Coins, verified by American Antiques and Jewelry, were valued at $1,318.00 each, bringing the total donation to $7,908.00.
“It’s heartwarming to be blessed by these random acts of kindness,” said Major Bob Mueller, County Coordinator for The Salvation Army. “It’s especially exhilarating to receive a unique and generous donation like the gold coins as we near the end of the Christmas Campaign.”
The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay is still accepting gifts as they close out their Christmas Campaign. An announcement regarding the results of the 2017 Christmas Campaign will be made next week.
