NATIONAL SALVATION ARMY WEEK TO CELEBRATE LOCAL PROGRAMS, SERVICES
May 14-20 The Salvation Army of Dane County to host week-long celebration of programs and services via social media and real-time events

MADISON, WI (May 1, 2018) – The Salvation Army of Dane County will observe National Salvation Army Week with a series of events and promotions that highlight its programs and services. They invite all community members to join in celebrating their 128 years of helping people in need.

The weeklong series begins on Monday, May 14, with a Diaper and Baby Supplies Drive. Homeless shelter parents, particularly those with newborns, often do not have their own baby supplies. Collections from the drive will help replenish TSA’s inventory of these essential items, such as: diapers (sizes 4, 5, 6), pull ups, bottles, wipes, and pacifiers. Donation barrels will be at The Salvation Army Madison locations and Lake View Church in Stoughton, 2200 Lincoln Ave.

For tech-savvy donors, an online baby registry in the name of The Salvation Army of Dane County can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/baby-reg/december-2018-madison/318WPCDR8VBB3

On Thursday, May 17, The Salvation Army will host its annual Tin Cup Lunch. The organization’s largest fundraiser of the year is a time for donors and supporters to witness the life-changing and inspirational work of the Army. Lunch is free to attend and the event is open to the community. For more information, please visit https://centralusa.salvationarmy.org/danecounty/tin_cup_lunch.

The final event of the week will occur on Friday, May 18, when Salvation Army staff and
volunteers serve boxed lunches on State Street with The Friends of the State Street Family. Lunches have been donated by Chick-Fil-A East Towne.
