Read more about Tammy below:

Q. How did you first learn about The Salvation Army?
A. I have been aware of the organization for years and am fortunate that Anthony D. Smith (a fellow Advisory Board Member and friend) invited me to apply for board membership.

Q. What is your favorite part about being involved with The Salvation Army?
A. The people who serve from the organization (great group of hard working people) and the people who are served by the organization. With so many supportive and life-changing programs offered for youth and adults, our community is positively and continually impacted in ways that do make a difference.

Q. What has been your favorite experience at The Salvation Army?
A. My favorite experience is the “Feed The Kids” kickoff event. It is such an important, needed and worthwhile initiative bringing attention and meals to our community’s children who, being out of school for the summer, would otherwise go without.

Q. What is one thing you believe the world should know about The Salvation Army?
A. In the words of The Salvation Army founder William Booth, “Your days at the most cannot be very long, so use them to the best of your ability for the glory of God and the benefit of your generation.”

Q. What are 3 words you would use to describe The Salvation Army?
A. Good, generous and gratitude.

Q. What is your favorite project to work on?
A. Tie between these two - Feed the Kids & Bell Ringing at the Kettles

Q. Is there anything you’d like to add?
A. Thanks for Doing The Most Good!
