Behind the Shield: Joy Kennedy, Mail and Copy Room Manager
Joy Kennedy is the Mail and Copy Room Manager at The Salvation Army of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan (the Divisional Headquarters) in Wauwatosa. She has worked for the organization for 36 years! In her job, she processes and delivers all of the incoming morning mail and close all of the afternoon mail. Joy also does print jobs for the Divisional Headquarters such as: brochures, flyers, bound booklets and business cards. She says whatever people are clever enough to think of, she can print it. Q. How did you first learn about Salvation Army?
A. I was born into and raised in The Salvation Army.
Q. What is your favorite part about working at Salvation Army?
A. That it is a Christian organization.
Q. What has been your favorite experience at Salvation Army?
A. Working in the Copy Room. I love to create.
Q. What is one thing you believe the world should know about Salvation Army?
A. It is truly a Christian organization.
Q. What are 3 words you would use to describe Salvation Army?
A. Church in action.
Q. What is your favorite project to work on?
A. All of them!

A. I love working with the creativity of the staff and making their ideas happen. It’s never boring in the office!
