Battle of the Banks & Credit Unions to Benefit The Salvation Army

SHEBOYGAN, WI (December 2, 2019) Staff from seven area financial institutions will be competing against each other as they ring bells at the red kettle stands from 9am to 5pm on Wednesday, December 4.  The Battle of the Banks is a friendly competition to raise money to support the social service programs offered to Sheboygan county by The Salvation Army. The winning bank or credit will be announced on December 6.

2019 Participants and Ringing Locations include:

  • Kohler Credit Union (Festival Foods, Sheboygan)
  • Sheboygan Area Credit Union (Festival Foods and Wal-Mart #1276, Sheboygan)
  • United One Credit Union (Piggly Wiggly, Sheboygan south)
  • HSA Bank (Wal-Mart #1276, Sheboygan)
  • Wells Fargo (Piggly Wiggly, Sheboygan north)
  • Oostburg State Bank (Piggly Wiggly, Oostburg)
  • National Exchange Bank (Piggly Wiggly, Howards Grove)

The Christmas season is the largest source of funding for The Salvation Army, with the money received supporting services provided to the community year-round. Our Christmas fundraising goal for 2019 is $595,000, of which $150,000 of that is expected to come from donations placed in the red kettles. The community is encouraged to sign up for a volunteer shift at www.registertoring.com or by calling 920-694-1268.
